Another voucher up for grabs!

MineEye is one of the newest online bookstores on the web – with a unique vision. We want to connect writers with their audience in a friendlier, more up-close manner than we have seen before. Less commercial and more nurturing of great talent. Giving people a chance to really connect with and understand the writers that they love !

Hi all

We have gone competition mad here at MineEye! Grimnien has decided that he wants to say a big thank you to our authors and reviewers. Every month the team is going to choose one of our authors or reviewers to receive a £20 (30 dollar) Amazon voucher and if you already have a book on the site you don’t have to do a thing! You are in the selection process already just by being there:-)

Everyone who uploads a book to will also be included! You don’t have to be an author to join in the fun either. If you post a review for any of the books on MineEye you will also be in with a chance of a voucher.

All we ask is that the monthly winner tweets about it on twitter and includes #MineEye.

This ‘competition’ will end on the last day of each month and is in addition to our other ‘rafflecopter’ competition! How exciting is this!!

We are running these competitions to spread the word about this brilliant site and also to thank all of you lovely people for taking part in it and remember it’s FREE to join!

Three cheers for Grimnien:-)

Good luck everybody!

Update on mineEye

Hi All

It’s been a busy few days since the launch of MineEye. Thank you to all the authors who have already uploaded books. For your information our fairies have been busy updating  The new dashboard gives every author full transparency of their sales orders and commissions earned. Also, it gives each of them a free “about the author” page that they can change at any time ! Pretty good huh?

Our slaves…..erm I mean…… elves have also added social icons to the bottom of the key pages e.g. books, so that when people go there or buy, they can share the links on social media…

We are still offering free subscription and it is still free to upload your books but…….not for much longer. If you have a Kindle book ready to be published I would strongly advise you to get it on there now! Our shop window is filling up nicely and we already have several established authors signed up to the site which is very exciting!

We are delighted with the response so far and wish to extend a very warm welcome to our authors, George Henry, Theresa Snyder, Paul Morgan, Frederick Anderson, Diana Stevan, Michael J Synnott, Victoria Allred,  Cheryl Gross, Gavin Carter and James Henry Willard. Thank you for putting your trust in us, we hope to exceed your expectations:-)

If you would like to join our rather elite group of authors, it is easy to subscribe and add a book completely for free through the ‘Become an author’ page but if you have any questions  get in touch with Gavin or Robert:by email at either: or

We look forward to welcoming you:-)

Attention Writers!

Hello all you writer friends! I have great news for you! Robert, our Technical Director has sent the following information:

Momentous News – The Launch of MineEye.

Thirty Authors Needed !

For some while, you will know that we have had the vision of creating a community of writers, poets, musicians and artists in a strong web and social media network, capable of bringing together people from all over the world.

That community is called ‘MineEye’. We want to create a nurturing, positive and supportive environment for people to express themselves, develop and connect with their audience. Getting started as a writer is challenging enough personally without having to understand and engage with multi-national print publishing houses and online bookstores – mentioning no names !

This first phase is an online bookstore with a difference. This will allow writers to publish their books on our website for a small fee to cover our administrative costs. We will not charge percentage commissions from the sale of books on our site – ever. Whether an author sells 5 books or 10,000 books through MineEye, they get to keep every penny, every cent of their earnings.

Most importantly, our community of authors will be actively promoted by us. We have a wonderful, positive presence on social media and we have a powerful voice now – we are a force for good ! No longer will authors’ works be left languishing unknown and unread amongst literally millions of others in the catacombs of a multi-national company.

So now, with the MineEye website ready to launch, we need authors (and their books to sell) and customers to buy them. We will start small and understand that it will take many months to grow.

How can you help ? If you are a writer or you know someone that you can recommend, with a book ready to be published, we would love to hear from you. We went to attract our first “scribble of writers” – precisely 30 of you to start with.

To those 30, we will offer a free subscription for one year and will upload your book onto MineEye free of charge. You will receive 100% of your revenue from book sales. There are no strings, no hidden catches – we want to build our community.

Please note that this is an online bookstore where customers will buy and download your book, then send it to their Kindle or e-reader device. We cannot sell books in print because we don’t have a warehouse – yet ! Also, we ask that your book is complete in every respect – it needs to have been converted to an e-reader format before we can publish it and you will need great looking artwork, plus a few promotional paragraphs of text, so that we can help you sell your book.

We are really delighted to be ready to launch MineEye and look forward to getting our first wave of writers on board immediately ! Authors can sell their books online to customers today.

Please contact us by email at either: or if you would like to talk to us about publishing your book on MineEye.

A Megastar in Blackpool

I keep hearing about this Blackpool place and I finally got there on Friday 4th September! I flew there with my esteemed friend Lawrence.

Gongle landingEverybody was excited because they were turning the lights on. Apparently they throw a big party every time they turn the lights on in Blackpool! What a brilliant idea! I think I’ll throw a big party every night from now on when it’s time to flick the switches in my house, what a fantastic place Blackpool is:-)   I have a feeling that there are lots of aliens living there too because the man who turned their lights on had a claw where you humans usually have hands.

Tim Burton (photo from Celebuzz)

The first thing IGongle with rock noticed when I landed my jet  were the amazing rocks on the beach. I immediately picked one out for my ‘friend’ Hall, she had specifically asked me to bring her back some Blackpool rock and I understood why when I saw the array of pretty stones on the sea shore.

Unfortunately Lawrence insisted on going into a building where tGongle with Lawrencehey were offering alcoholic refreshments when we arrived so we didn’t actually get to the show until eight pm.  I missed the famous aliens with pointy heads by the name of Jedward!

Luckily we got there just in time to see my great friends, Toploader, although I was a bit confused because there wasn’t a washing machine in sight:! I am probably Toploader’s most famous fan. I’ve seen them live about eight hundred times!

Unfortunately I only recorded a snippet of a couple of their songs because I was afraid my battery would run out before the Vampires came on. I know a couple of young female humans who would never have forgiven me if I had let that happen!

You can see a video clip of Toploader in Blackpool here: via

You can also share in their new album according to this recent tweet:

We are super proud to announce that we are going to be making a brand new album and want you to come and share…

OK I’m not just a pretty imp as you know and being a fast learner I had already worked out that they have some strange traditions in Blackpool but even I was not prepared for what happened next! In the middle of the show they brought out a University professor to give the audience a lecture!

I was intrigued by the interesting lecture by Professor Green, I think he must specialise in sleep disorders because he was telling us about how he had been tossing and turning, trying to get to sleep and finding it hard to switch off when his mind was working, he went on to say that he ponders on things he shouldn’t ponder on and how his train of thought’s wandering off the rails.

I was just thinking to myself how I could identify with what the eminent Professor was saying when I was totally shocked by the audience reaction! Professor Green They actually started SINGING over him while he was speaking! Now you who know me well will know that I’m not one to conform but I was astounded to hear people drowning out the most interesting lecture by blatantly singing over that poor Professor! He was very professional and just carried on regardless but I have to say Blackpool audiences are extremely rude!

See for yourselves in this clip: via

You can pre-order Professor Green’s autobiography here:

Now I know Vampires are scary and coming from Grimney, I am quite used to coming face to bulging eye with horrific monsters, but even I was nervous when the ‘Vamps’ were introduced…………You would have been nervous too if you had heard the ear splitting screams let out by the terrified audience when the arrival of the ‘Vamps’ was announced!! Actually they didn’t look like vampires at all and they wore tops with ‘I Love Blackpool’ written on them (although I did become a little suspicious when the singer announced that he had never been to Blackpool before!)

Vamps on stage

I had an excellent view until some daft human teenager started holding a scarf up in front of me and waving it around!……thanks dear:-) I don’t even know why she even had a scarf, it wasn’t even cold, tch!

Vampson stage

I did get quite a lot of footage of the Vamps (as per strict instructions from the young female humans I mentioned earlier) but due to the scarf waver I had to switch backwards and forwards between the stage and the large screen so they are a bit shaky in places:-) I was told by a close friend of Brad (lead singer) that their song ‘Somebody to you’ was written especially for the Great Gongleshanks:

I used to wanna be
Living like there’s only me
But now I spend my time
Thinking ’bout a way to get you off my mind
(Yeah you!)
I used to be so tough
Never really gave enough
And then you caught my eye
Giving me the feeling of a lightning strike
(Yeah you!)

I’m not too sure about the second verse though………

I used to ride around
I didn’t wanna settle down
But now I wake each day
Looking for a way that I can see your face
(Yeah you!)
I’ve got your photograph
But baby I need more than that
I need to know your lips ……………..????
Nothing ever mattered to me more than this
(Yeah you!)

Tou can hear the Vamps’ song – which was written for me – in the first video here:

I thoroughly enjoyed the show – at least the bits I managed to see thanks to my designer friend wanting to check out all the soft furnishings in the local establishments!……Tch! I’ve heard some excuses in my time……..!

After the show finished I was ready to go home but Lawrence wanted to check out more curtain material………at least I think that was what he was doing when he kept hanging from the curtains in every refreshment building we visited………

He annoyed me to be honest because as we strolled along the prom, prom, prom (sorry!) thousands of fans kept rushing up to me and saying ‘Can I have your autograph please?’ Before I had chance to reply, Lawrence kept jumping in with ‘Yes of course’ and grabbing their pens and posing for pictures with them. My fans looked quite bemused and disappointed as he grabbed my arm and rushed me away!

He also got on my nerves moaning about his hair getting blown out of place! I mean, he was walking around Blackpool with a Megastar and worrying about HIS hair, Tch!

When we arrived back at the ‘beach’ the following morning, guess what! My jet had vanished! Well, the tide doesn’t come in on my private island so how was I to know?…………..

No jet                                           Look what happened to my parking space!

It’s lucky that I have quite a large collection of private jets or I may have been upset:-)

Another piece of the VBL jigsaw in place!

Hi all

You may remember a while ago I told you that we had a new website, ‘CelebrityVoiceBox’  Well Caroline and Shona of @PROwls1 are the editors and have been updating the site. Well this post is to let you know that they are launching the site tomorrow!

Being a very important imp I have had a sneak preview and I can tell you that the two lassies have done an excellent job on the site. Here at VBL Towers we are very excited about the launch, so excited in fact that we are currently drinking champagne at Grimnien’s house to celebrate:-)

Grimnien is constantly looking for new platforms to showcase our talented Twitter friends and this, along with our daily newspaper ‘The VoiceBoxLive Chronicle’ which is edited by our lovely Kara Jarina, is set to be another fantastic medium for our talented friends!

We have some other sites coming soon – one of which – MineEye will be of particular interest to you writers and artists…….but more about that later.

Rest assured that our Live streaming site is still under construction after hitting a rather large obstacle and I hope to bring news about that soon now.

For now though, tomorrow belongs to ‘CelebrityVoiceBox’ and Caroline and Shona. I am advised that they already have a very popular and renowned music reviewer/writer on their team and will be introducing him tomorrow……’ll just have to wait!

If any of you are interested in writing for the website please contact Caroline and Shona @PROwls1 and they will explain more:-)

I am sure that they will appreciate your feedback/comments on the site too when they launch it tomorrow.

As always thank you for your continued support:-)

Who’s going to kill Meadow Goblinglitter?

Hello fans!
I can’t believe the blog post that Meadow posted here yesterday! Tch, Women! I thought I’d better just let you know that I’m alive and kicking so you can all come out of mourning now:-)

Hopefully my little prank will teach Ursula not to be led on by that CLAM! I think he encouraged her to feed me berries believing them to be poisonous. They weren’t of course but I pretended to be ill so that Ursula would see the error of her ways:-)

Morton is extremely jealous of me and will do anything to get rid of me you see but, fear not, I am going NOWHERE!

I met up with some old friends in the woods who were having a wild party so I decided to join them to make it a party to remember for them:-)

I am extremely angry with Meadow as I’ve now heard that she told AnMarie, my girlfriend, that I had asked her to marry me. I would like to set the record straight right now, I did NOT ask Meadow to marry me. I think she thought I was dead and that if she told people that, she would inherit all my worldly goods, my island, private jet, classic cars and the billions stashed in my bank.

That’s the trouble with being so rich and handsome, you have to learn to spot the ‘gold diggers’ Fortunately, apart from being mega rich and painfully handsome I alao have a wonderful personality so in most cases when women ‘come on to me’ I know it’s genuine because they just can’t resist my charms.

Anyway, I apologise for the terrible shock you must have all had on reading Meadow’s post but you can relax I am very much alive:-)
